difficult to recall a more earnest, guileless plea in Lynch's work (or anyone's) than Sandy - after her last phone call with Jeffrey - asking "Where is.... where is my dream?"

living in a midwest town, especially if you travel outside town limits and almost nothing is taller than one story, it never ceases to amaze me that clouds are TALL AS HELL. when you live in a city you don't get that perspective - clouds are simply overhead.

Fun fact about UK politics: the threshold requiring British MPs to disclose their financial holdings in a private company is quite high (meaning they can take a lot of kickbacks before being required to make a disclosure), but they managed to make it lower for Scottish MPs.
