I'm sure somebody already said this, but doesn't today's SCOTUS ruling on presidential immunity basically follow the same logic as qualified immunity for police?

And it's a safe bet that future administrations, no matter what flag they fly, will be even more brazen about exploiting immunity at all levels than ever.
