What's next for Bluesky? We're working on some of your most requested features: DMs, video, improved Custom Feeds, better anti-harassment features, and a new login tool called "OAuth" Check out the roadmap here: bsky.social/about/blog/0...

can you please add soft blocking

I should add: it's not because of being against it. It's a technical issue that would require a ton of problem solving, on top of what they're already doing. I also want to point out to people that feature requests would be more visible to the devs as GitHub issues than as comments.

do i look like i know what a github issue is

In hindsight yeah that's fair. GitHub's UI can be confusing.

TL;DR: Basically you go to where the source code of the AT protocol is hosted(github.com/bluesky-soci...) and open something called an issue. The devs are much more likely to see that than a comment under Bluesky's official account, which the devs don't run AFAIK.

Are the PM/Engineering/Design teams expecting users to create issues in git?

Idk. I'm just saying you'd probably have better luck there.

i think someone else already made it an issue so i'm off the hook

Yeah that's fair. The UI is pretty cumbersome. It sucks as well because Microsoft owns GitHub. They absolutely have the money to pay devs to make a better UI.

I bet if you care enough about the thing, youll figure it out.

This was the "royal" you btw. For clarity's sake. Just meant ppl will figure it out if they care enough.

So I'm a dumbass and completely forgot the app now has a feedback page you can go to and request feature changes. Idk if it's always bad that, but I never realized it. That's the type of thing my eyes usually glance over. On that note, git issues aren't the easiest, and GitHub's UX doesn't help.

Githubs ui is incredibly obtuse. But its not dissimilar from having to go to some random discord or telegram or w/e to submit a feature request and you see that everywhere. Or having to go and submit a ticket to jira, or navigate a labyrinthine series of contact us pages to submit one.

Its almost worse woth discord, because the procedure of submitting a request or bug might be wildly different from one project's server to another.
