I think the second point here that Biden is “cognitively fine” only makes sense to people who’ve never seen dementia firsthand. There is a deterioration that flickers off and on in the early years and doesn’t make much sense unless you see it for yourself.
Matt, I can post a whole bunch of experts on aging & cognitive decline who would disagree with you. Rather than doing that, I'll tell you I had to watch my father's experience with Parkinson's dementia & it looked nothing like Biden.
Second hand speculation doesn't go over well with some of us.
I watched my Mom deteriorate, by her side as her primary caregiver. I also watched that happen to my Grandmother, though I was younger and paying less attention. Either way - this is not that.
Same boat here. A lot of people besides Matt don't realize how their 2nd hand assumptions are going over with those of us who had to deal with the real thing.
I’ve seen a lot of dementia through my work and it’s absolutely possible that Biden’s mental acuity is just fine but if he did have early/late dementia it would look like this. Either way, this story isn’t going away and considering what’s at stake I think he really needs to step aside
That entire answer was obviously the worst of the night and I’m starting to think anyone who saw it and still argues he’s fine just isn’t being honest.
Biden is showing signs of his age and stutter.
His brain is functioning but his ability to express himself coherently fails when he is tired. That comes with age, it is not dementia.
Anyone who understands dementia signs can see it in the convicted felon.
Calling Biden demented is dishonest.

Biden's inability to express himself clearly when tired is a serious factor against him having a 2nd term. This is why the elderly retire.
The convicted felon shows clear signs of early onset dementia in spite of still being able to lie to We the People.
Neither of them should be running IMO.
When someone lives in a fantasy world where they are the greatest thing that ever graced the planet and literally everything they say are outlandish lies, that’s dementia.
That’s trump.
And? It doesn't matter if he's drooling down his shirt, he doesn't have someone like Stephen Miller pulling his strings while he's in office. Can't say the same about the other guy. Also, don't care if the law allows the DNC to swap Biden on the ticket, SCOTUS doesn't give a fuck about the law.
My inlaws had dementia. My FIL and then my MIL years later. While it snuck up slowly, Biden doesn't present at all like they did (and they were slightly different). My dad is 82 and has slowed down and my grandmother is almost 102 and is extra slow but no dementia. Biden seems like them. FWIW
