If you write an op ed saying Biden should drop out you should at least try to grapple with the fact that making anyone other than Harris the nominee in his absence is incredibly difficult.

Tbf, the reasons to quit are because things aren’t going well. If Biden was smooth sailing to re-election there wouldn’t be any noise about quitting

What is even the mechanism at this point without him voluntarily dropping out? Is there any scenario in which he doesn't win on the first ballot? Or can they just change the convention rules the 1st day?

His delegates were picked by him, so no—it’s only his decision.

idk what happens everywhere but in Kentucky that’s not true. National are elected by state delegates (source: I was a state delegate this year)
