Big news from the Brooklyn entertainment scene: Live Nation bought beloved Gowanus venue The Bell House and appears to be pushing out every type of event except for comedy and live podcasts. A @thenewyorkgroove.bsky.social exclusive from @timdonnelly.bsky.social nygroove.nyc/bell-house-s...

Yesterday I made a stunning return to the emoji copypasta game, and as a result more than half a dozen people found out about the NYC asteroid from me and not from the news

A requiem for Andy Byford's ambitious $40 billion "Fast Forward" plan to improve and expand NYC transit after the 2017 "Summer of Hell"—finally at death's door thanks to Gov. Hochul's "indefinite pause" on congestion pricing — by @davecolon.bsky.social

At the MTA Board meeting, Assembly Member David Weprin, in an extremely serious proposal to raise $15 billion for the MTA capital plan, suggested an "Adopt-A-Station or Adopt-A-Bus Stop program" just like how Citibank paid for naming rights at Citi Field before his Zoom feed cut out

Kirsten Gillibrand went on Brian Lehrer today and said that congestion pricing should exempt: theater goers, first responders, "critical" workers, Staten Islanders and that the state should built "hubs" where people could park and then "fast rail" into the city (aka the LIRR and Metro-North)

I'm so glad this happened because these people were the talk of the apartment where I watched this game from the moment they appeared on screen, and are surely the reason McNeil got a hit in the top of the 9th
I had a very lovely chat with the couple from Antwerp who make up Jeff McNeil's #1 Belgian Fan Club. Why opt into Mets fandom from Europe? "I don’t believe in a team that doesn’t have problems." www.si.com/mlb/mets-mos...
