One of the funnest bits of doing the Everything Burns pieces for @stevewmorris.bsky.social is that, every time I finish mine, he has to do his next one, and it's like we flipped the script on the writer/editor relationship.

We were looking at this question last night and think it’s Dave Sim on Cerebus, Erik Larsen on Savage Dragon, Stan Sakai on Usagi Yojimbo and Carlos Ezquerra on Strontium Dog who’re the top four

There’s a lot of comic book writers who co-created a character and kept on writing that character for years and years. But which artist drew the most issues featuring a character they co-created?

Okay so @kimota.bsky.social just pointed out that Carlos Ezquerra drew almost all of Strontium Dog. Someone might have the numbers, but I don’t… but that must be a few hundred issue at least, right?
