On the artist hunt again! This time I need sequential artists who are Black and of any gender for a biographical graphic novel project. Anyone who can do quieter moments, the real world, and real people, possibly for B&W rather than color. Send portfolios and recommendations my way!

This came up in a conversation I was having elsewhere online, but... in my experience, comic publishers, as a rule, tend to be really, shockingly bad at informing creators when their work is coming out (certainly compared to mainstream book publishers, who are really on top of that stuff).

Eye Brow to Your Expertise

This one’s specific to comics, but: when your characters are having a conversation you can have them doing something else at the same time. Keep the visuals moving. It can be plot advancement, character stuff, doesn’t matter. Just have them doing SOMETHING.
