The "good version" of replacing Biden would be like "Biden, Obama, the Clintons, Kamala Harris and a couple other party grandees get into a room and hash out which popular governor Biden instructs his delegates to back" but lmao lol if you think that group of people is capable of executing that.
Which popular governor is the consensus perfect candidate who can defeat Trump and unify the party and motivate the black woman base to come out for whoever is replacing the black woman on the ticket?
This is where the "replace Biden" game falls apart. The perfect replacement does not exist.
I haven't seen any real evidence that black voters are motivated by Kamala Harris on the ticket besides the fact that a cadre of online weirdos insist that it's the case any time this comes up.
OK fine then. So regardless, who is the candidate? Specifically who? It's very easy to say "replace Biden with someone better" when that better candidate is a hypothetical person. But who among the actual Dems can win this thing?
I had the same thought last night when people started talking about a brokered convention. It would most likely end up with Clinton-Trump II, because no other heir apparent exists.
It has to be Dwayne The Rock Johnson. He'll be a terrible president, there's no question about it. But on a tight schedule? You need a pro wrestler for this carnie campaign.
My honest guess is he's a fairly typical Hollywood liberal or a corporate Democrat. Doesn't really believe in anything, won't push back against a facile politics of inclusion, but has a deep-seated feeling that the rich are punished for being successful.
Yeah, nominating the only person ever to lose an election to Donald Trump and who is only one year younger than him does not seem like the wisest call!
