The GOP platform is pretty horrific, especially as it relates to trans stuff, but I'm seeing virtually zero coverage of that. (Here's that section, in its entirety. It's vague in enough of a way to be terrifying.)

Yep exactly right. The GOP "platform" should be read as "whatever bullshit we think the media will swallow to help trump get elected," not an actual set of positions they will attempt to enact. Wish someone would ask Trump for policy specifics on social security
