It’s WOE’s book birthday!
The book is pictured here with some mementos of its ingenue, along with the catnip and catgrass we planted together in the Spring, so it can be ready for a new family member(s?) by the end of the Summer book tour travels. We are all very excited.❤️
Only three days until WOE comes out, and I join the ranks of published cat cartoonists of yore. Nicole’s cartoons are amazing, please check out her books!
I painted on a big ol’ shirt dress to make myself a fun fit for my WOE tour! Genuinely love that it makes me look like a huge doodle page drawn by a cat fanatic (me).
I had a lot of fun making these little worksheet activities to have at my WOE events! There’s a big seek-and-find on the back. Come to a WOE event and get a free worksheet while supplies last! (Or if you can’t make it, feel free to print these out and do them at home).
Some of the swag I’ll have available at my tour spots for my WOE book events! Excited about these FELINE FORTUNES, featuring nine different oracular cats! See you there!
I’ve made a series of new cat comics, to celebrate the release of WOE, my Linney cat comics collection, out on July 2nd! Here is the first of this series, featuring a local politician.
Can’t wait to take this WOE on the road! 🐱 Come see me this summer on my Linney book tour! Tell me about your tragic, splendid creatures, and enjoy an exclusive musicomic!
Sometimes my kid will be reading one of my comics from my childhood collection from the 90’s and the ad on the back will DEBILITATE ME WITH NOSTALGIA and also a deep yearning for an ultra koosh.
I went to a comics retreat in Alaska and drew tiny portraits of the incredible artists I met there. I also learned some amazing Alaskan nature facts. Despite the advice, I’d never try to fight a black bear, but I’d probably try to hug one and it wouldn’t end well for me.
Kid just asked for a “Prince Valiant” at the haircut place and the stylist didn’t know what that was. Or they pretended not to because they’re AFRAID OF THAT LEVEL OF STYLE.
16 yrs ago, I wrote and illustrated a love song about time-travel; The Last Time (youtu.be/qatydEg7muk?...). One of the coolest parts about making art over the years is that it lets you connect/collaborate with the you that made a piece of art long ago. The Last Time Part 2: youtu.be/J9qI4g66pnM?...
Yesterday’s reading at Books Are Magic was a first; my first book event DURING a severe weather warning! But look how many intrepid folks came out anyway, to listen to me sing and read and celebrate books and bikes! Thank you, Brooklyn!
Sketches from @enagoski.bsky.social’s event last week! So excited for the new book, but not sure it can ever be as good as her live recitation of Moana.
