what has really helped locally are the "big tent" groups being a catalyst for a lot of smaller groups. lots of cross-pollination has meant that everyone is in a few signal chats that leave them plugged into all the rides going on
That's a great strategy. Being in a smaller area we don't benefit from that as much, but I have noticed some of the larger rides being a good connector for people to learn about other rides, etc.
We also have one local shop killing it with newbie-focused rides that is having a trickle down effect.

My free option I always tell people about is to create an account with SBS in Australia and then you can use a VPN to watch their live stream and on-demand. It's great coverage.
