A quiet evening to all. This was a day in need of a peaceful evening. Auvers-sur-Oise, France, June, 2015

Good morning on another rainy, cool morning in NW Montana. ☕️👋🏼There’s fresh snow on the Rattlesnakes, but the clouds are obscuring the view. Don’t let the clouds keep you from your joy.

For the record, there was a scattering of snow on the ridges at 4,000 ft. Wr received nearly an inch of rain on the the valley floor at 3,000 ft.

Haying 101: The field was mowed Thurs with a sickle mower. We raked it into windrows Fri & turned the piles on Sat. Sun we baled the hay. This is a two person job. Total yield for 1/3-1/2 acre was 34 bales plus a remaining haystack that will yield 2-3 bales. What an experience! #farming #haying

Good morning to all who pass by. 👋🏼☕️ Raining and chilly, it is a perfect day for indoor activities. Monday’s blessings to all.

It’s shaping up into a fine #skysunday.

Sideways rain and wind is what we have this afternoon. At above 5,500 ft, snow is predicted tomorrow night. I’m glad I’m “only” at 3,000 ft!

First mowing for hay has begun here. My friend made us two light weight hay rakes. After flipping the hay into windrows for drying, my shoulders are commenting and complaining. No tractor, no problem.

And so, this new day begins. A day of light, love, grace and joy…if we allow it. 🫶🏼☕️

Montana gardening is a different kind of experience. I’m still putting seed in, and you have to have quick maturing varieties or starts. Today was leafy greens day: lettuce, dponach & chard.

Afternoon light illuminates the Mission Mountains in St. Ignatius, The Mission, on lands of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes (CSKT). I knew today’s view would be good so I planned to stop & enjoy all that was offered. This is en route to the grocery store. What a gift!

It’s my first evening to sit on the newly built porch. I hear crickets, doves, a pheasant, and a hungry Robin. The porch still needs steps, a ramp for DD and a good coating of Thompson’s water sealer. Soon. Have a quiet evening.

My niece is one of the ones that passed the endurance requirements by Cherokee Nation and chosen to ride a bicycle non-stop the entire trail of tears to honor the ones who died during the removal. They begin on Sunday, starting point in Georgia, ending in Oklahoma

A friend of mine purchased a fancy new telescope and asked if I wanted her old one. Um, yeah! So, after holding my iPhone camera over the telescope's eyepiece and taking about 50 blurry and out-of-focus photos, I was finally able to capture this. Isn't she a beauty?
