I was so excited to witness a hermit crab switch from its old shell to its new shell home. You can see it leaving the shell on the left and then jumping in to its new home on the right. #Nature is cool.

#WildlifeWednesday Through the window a few minutes ago. She drank every drop and was licking the bowl. I just went out and refilled it.

Docked in the harbor this weekend was the world's tallest single-masted ship measuring 289 feet/88 meters. For reference, the average cruise ship is 236 feet/72 meters tall. #photography #waterwednesday

I never thought I would write the phrase, "what a pretty slug" but there you have it. It's a pretty little thing.

Check out this 4" long banana slug we found at the redwood national park. 2nd largest slug in the world. So cool!

We saw a deceased Portuguese Man O' War on the beach this morning. Public safety doesn't collect them so we moved it to higher ground, away from the water where people and pets play, and marked it with a 🚫sign. They are pretty but have a nasty sting. #Nature #Coast #photography
