Some Millennials in my timeline are insecure because Gen Zs are telling them their ankle socks age them. I can't stress enough that you don't need to care about what a bunch of 20-somethings think about your clothes, mainly bc you don't have to care about what ANYONE thinks about your clothes.

"I think your clothes don't follow my in-group's fashion trends closely enough." I think you're a mark and easily swayed by peer pressure. What now?

"Skinny jeans give me the ick" Bitch, neither one of us will ever retire. Get better priorities.

Before anyone mistakes this for a defense of Millennial fashion trends, it is not. It's a defense of dressing like shit and not giving a crap. Just wear whatever and mind your own business. Who cares?

Yeah! What the fuck is this, Mean Girls?

A defense of dressing like shit and not giving a crap is a defense of dads, and we salute you.

There comes a time when how you feel becomes so much more important than what random strangers think about how you look. The sooner you reach this point the happier your life will be.

Agree. I just wear joggers now. It’s liberating.

As a lover of Hawaiian shirts, the far right getting into them for a bit made me nervous (though mine are Indonesian batik so I wasn't that worried yet), because I REALLY don't want to be associated with their ilk.
