📢 1.57 Thread Reply Controls When you compose a post, you can now choose who is allowed to reply to your posts. Options include nobody, mentioned users, followed users, and members of lists you’ve created. 2/4

📢 1.57 Logged-out visibility Next week the Bluesky app and website will enable logged-out viewing. If you dont want Bluesky to show your content, you can select this new option in the Moderation screen. Remember Bluesky is a public network. This setting only adds friction to seeing your posts. 3/4

📢 1.57 Additional Updates • Replies to blocked users will no longer show in your feeds • Unread notifications now behave a little better • User lists can now be muted/unmuted or blocked/unblocked like moderation lists • Moderation labels on quoted posts correctly apply to the quote now 4/4

Hashtags technically already exists but isn't fully implemented in the official client. You can try Graysky which has support for them

But nobody I know is there so there is no point for Graysky for me ;) I just hope they will be implemente it at some point.

why would hashtags be a game changer? i get that theyre efficient but are they even all that popular anymore

Because otherwise it is hard to follow a convo. Like when there is a show on Tv for example. The feed feature is not the solution.

Yes, but those are not the same. Sometimes I see an interesting Hashtag in a friend's post and want to know more. Or I wanna follow an event. Finding the right feed and keep a conversation flowing is not working for me

Please no gifs without a way to disable them. I hate the twitching, and the conversation is better when people use the language. I would happily mute all posts with gifs in them if that were an option.

Fr, videos would be top notch, every single thing I like showing off would be better with some movement or sound. animation, beatmaking, sound design, game dev clips... That would be a game changer.

Just give us the ability to search our own BlueSky posts, without having to use a 3rd party site. It's the only feature I miss from Twitter...

Stupid question, but what's the diff between muting and blocking?

Blocking prevents them from responding to you, prevents them from seeing your posts, and it also hides (for everyone) any direct replies made from one of you to the other. It's also public and people can see who you've blocked. Muting only hides their posts, no other effects.
