Fascinated by the fact that Battletech added a Mad Cat Mk III at one point that was created by one of the Clans for export sales to the Inner Sphere.
It’s basically a Hummer H3.
That also seems like the most appropriate possible time to call it the MadCat instead of Timberwolf, lol.
Bonus points if it was using recycled Marauder and Catapult parts, heh.
It is specifically the one that is not named as a Timber Wolf by the Clans.
Well, except the Mk IV, but that’s because the Clanner name there is “Savage Wolf”
And it felt like that one was different enough to really warrant the shift.
The D variant always felt like a reversal of the design to me in any case.
Not hating on SRMs, mind you!
