artist, designing a bongle with a lot of bingles on it: haha yeahhhh yeessss woohooo heehehehe
artist, drawing all the bingles again later: WHY'D I PUT SO MANY BINGLES ON THIS BONGLE
I edited a couple dozen comic pages to remove a character detail as at some point I stopped drawing it and it was in fewer pages than it wasn't. So out it went.
This is why you only draw when relevant like close-ups or whatever.
Modern comics are insanity, you can't be detailed every single panel.
The downside is sometimes people think Senshi from Delicious in Meshi is hairless when he's the opposite.
As someone who almost exclusively draws bugs, I always have to triple check that they have the correct number of limbs, eyes, wings, and antennae. I have become a master at drawing bongles with bingles.
