I had an eBay gift card, so I picked up this Sachen multicart that I otherwise couldn’t justify buying. It feels surprisingly sturdy. World getting you down? Take a Sachen break!

Gaball Screen now has a set on RetroAchievements. If you like odd, experimental PlayStation games, it’s an absolute must play.

An airport wheelchair pusher just walked briskly past the gate with the John Cena theme playing full volume on his phone. We should all strive to be such examples of incongruous energy.

Related to buying too many movies physically: I present a film political compass that takes aim both myself and others.

Criterion, Kino Lorber, and Arrow all started their summer sales within a week of each other. Thank goodness I have most of what I want from Vinegar Syndrome, but I’m not sure how I’ll approach the Severin sale.

Periodically, I like to reread my favorite Scottish poem: Batman's Aff His Nut by Robert Florence.

Yesterday I went to a mini golf course that was dinosaur themed. Among the giant plaster dinosaurs was…part of the cover art for Turok Evolution?

It doesn’t photograph well, but I picked up this shirt from the New Jersey boardwalk because if I didn’t, I’d regret passing up on this for the rest of my life. (Further context in alt text)

The EGGCONSOLE releases on Switch may not be as top tier as Sega Ages ones were, but I’m still really enjoying them. I did not expect to develop an opinion on Golvellius releases, but they’ve made that possible!

I feel like Alucard and Adam Ant would get along well.

I was on a terrible puzzle games kick last night and played through levels 1-30 of Virtual Lab for VB. I recommend it to everyone, it’s remarkably awful.

I’ve ordered a case of the energy drink I used to buy back in college, and I hope the unsettling amount of niacin is as rich and itch inducing as I recall. Xtreme Shock is made by a company called Nutrition Research Group, and their current website is a pop up telling me my phone has a virus.

If I attend a cookout during Hot Cube Summer, does that make me a Cubivore?

Happy Pride, everybody! If your city has a parade and festival, have at it and celebrate either yourself, people, you love, and those you’re yet to meet. Please also wear sunscreen, and remember to use it on the entirety of your face, not simply your cheeks.

Babies & Angels honestly isn’t too far off from Megumi Rescue and would fit right in with the Mark III library.
I caught this "concerned adult" letter in a montage of international 80s newspaper clippings in a video. It's from the Singaporean Straits Times newspaper in December 1982 and holy shit wait until you read about the games this upstanding citizen is mad about

In short, Simple 2000 Series Vol. 68: The Tousou Highway: Nagoya - Tokyo / Car Racing Challenge marries Desert Bus, Zippy Race, and Grand Theft Auto to create a throuple whose marriage could only be legally officiated by Tamsoft.

In Simple Series news, I can wholeheartedly report that Simple 2000 Series Vol. 68: The Tousou Highway: Nagoya - Tokyo is by far the most tedious title I’ve encountered yet. However, I feel like it would make a good challenge round in some sort of gaming marathon competition.

Looking through storage, I found a trash bag full of PS2 network adaptors. I bought these years ago because they were 25¢ each at a local GameStop. The plan at the time was to dress up as The Modem Santa and pass them out at a Magfest.

After my first time seeing something put on by Baltimore Rock Opera Society, I can say I am completely sold for future shows. If you’re in the MD/DC area, I can’t recommend seeing A Computer That Loves (and why not to build one) enough. Check it out!
Baltimore Rock Opera Societywww.baltimorerockopera.org The Baltimore Rock Opera Society was founded by a small group of friends dreaming of an impossibly enormous story that would be told through the awesome power of rock.

It’s intermission at my first rock opera, and I’m kind of amazed at how good it is. I expected to enjoy this, but this is absolutely fantastic.

On one hand, adding the Pepsiman theme to my music library is a choice I won’t soon regret. On the other hand, did we need to give Pepsiman lips?

One of my few gaming regrets is not ponying up the money for this when I saw one for sale.

I recently read that a study showed that when a gambler is playing roulette, the highest dopamine levels are when the wheel is spinning, not after a win. I feel the exact same way in the time between purchasing and playing a Simple 2000 Series game.

Rewatching Zeta Gundam, and I’m reminded of just how fantastic the soundtrack is. I say this all on episode 15 or so, I haven’t even gotten to the second (and best) opening song yet!
