I have a love/hate relationship with Neal’s work. Sometimes it’s super effective and sometimes it is really trying too hard to be clever or characters flail about looking somewhat broken. This, to me, is more strange looking than clever.
I loved Neal as a kid and loved him to the point where he became a parody of himself.
If you told younger me that “Neal Adams will be doing monthly comics again one day and you won’t buy them” I would have told you that you were crazy. But that did happen.
