I hope that bluesky lets us make private accounts soon. I had my own tweets limited on my PRIVATE account because I was making a post about still having societal advantages by being white, cis-presenting, and straight-presenting. I had to post a screenshot of my own tweet to continue the thread lmao
I really don’t think most people realize just how hard the boot will come down if Trump and the Republicans win the election. Most people have never experienced the totalitarian surveillance state with the power to reach into their homes and minds at will they are telling us is their plan.
The Black Panther Party learned that sickle cell anemia was a neglected genetic disease affecting mostly people of African descent. Although disease had been known since 1910, it attracted little govt attention and even less funding.
So the Panthers set up a screening program. #BlackSky#Disability
"Approximately 1 in 365 African American children are born with sickle cell, according to the CDC..
Tens of thousands of lower-income families with children suffering from sickle cell disease have applied for SSI. But roughly 76% of those applicants had their requests denied between 2015 and 2020."
First ArtFight attack of the year!

Such fun concept! And a great excuse to go dig up my color pencils and black papers.
At long last, I have finished this piece for Augs on bsky of her character named Monty. Her design is beautifully peculiar, and I couldn't hold back my imagination cx
All forms of oppression intersect.
Mask bans suppress protest, sicken and disable communities, and will most harm vulnerable groups: Black, trans, etc. Chevron ruling means more expensive healthcare. Bills and disability can unhouse you, which means jail to do slave labor.
Resist. Do it in an n95.
when we beg people to mask up, we are doing it because we know from experience how much the chronic illness life can suck.
we’re not trying to control you. we really just don’t want anyone else to have to suffer needlessly and also, uh. we want to stay alive and not get further disabled ourselves!
Let me tell you the tale of a very adventurous earwig. They ended up in my backpack when husband and I went to the ER for the second time. I saw them dip into a pocket but couldn't get them out. On the way out of the ER I saw them running over the surface of the backpack again!
However, I do feel like I have the spoons to take on more shop sales, so this would be an excellent way to support right now! I’m offering 20% off all orders until July 19th (during the first Whisp auction this year), with the code STUDIOCATLOVE. Sharing this helps too!
Ugh, time for more Shia struggles. Yesterday, we found ourselves at the emergency vet due to Shia getting a third UTI in the last several months. The bill was insane, considering they didn’t examine her, (let’s save that rant for another day…)
Back from doctor for husband and physical therapy for husband, No more appointments for a while. He is being tested for B12 deficiency because it can cause some of his symptoms, and told to use his muscle relaxers to see if it will help. If it doesn't then he'll get a referral to neurology. Tired!
Reveneg for Claepots! I'm bummed I don't get to do more than a bust for this one, this is SUCH a fascinating character. But I want to do more revenges this year so I'm keeping them smaller! #artfight#teamstardust
Revenge bedtime procrastination is gonna kick my ass tomorrow, got two more doc appointments for my guy. But was absolutely kicking at the gates to do SOME kind of art fight, and I needed to do some commissions too. Glad I got some stuff done!

New piece! I struggled with this one a lot back when I started it a year or two ago, but it finally came together nice and easy when I went back and took a second look at it. 😊
MRI results are back, he's clear!! So not a stroke, maybe nerve impingement. Follow up with doc tomorrow for more. God, at least his whole-ass life isn't in danger. Like, this isn't fun but it's not life threatening.
This one will definitely need the digital treatment when I get home, ran out of room on one side for the shapes I wanted and messed up a bit of the ink!
Woohoo, he's just gone back for the long awaited MRI! His care team has to physically go to the imaging department to see what was going on, because they weren't picking up the phone. They must be swamped....
