People talk shit about "Vera" on THE WALL, saying it's a filler song, but I really think it's one of the key songs in the entire thing. It is interesting that the linchpin to getting that is technically another song, and the cultural impact of that song. "Vera" prefigures the tone and timbre of most of Roger's next three albums
