Should I throw manicotti into this discussion? It gets stuffed but not closed and doesn’t look like a pillow.
A manicotti is an Italian hot dog.
But is a hot dog a sandwich?
I would argue that the manicotti can’t be a taco because it doesn’t have an open side but I also wanted to call it an Italian burrito originally and argued in my head against it for the same reason.
or is it so simple that we insist it must be complicated, unable to allow ourselves the true beauty of the hot dog
