Just noting: The post-debate Trump bump had been dissipating; Trump's lead had ballooned to 2.5 percentage points but as of this morning was down to 1.2, via 538. Normally there would be a convention bump to come, which now will be mixed with whatever short-term effect (if any) from the shooting.
