These "pro-Gaza independents" will hopefully form a parliamentary bloc on the issue but I doubt that they're uniform enough to cohere on other issues.

By my count five Labour MPs lost seats tonight to people who capitalized on the discontent from Muslims / pro-Palestinian voters, otherwise known as a group that one Labour person called "fleas"

Oh to have a country where members of the legislature can lose their seats because their center left party is fascist on Palestine

UK Muslim voters know ball, the level of discipline and coordination to switch en masse to specific independent candidates in a number of seats across the county is unreal and sadly MENA Americans don't seem capable of that, not least because independent bids here are much more difficult to raise.

Ageism is hiring a 25 year old instead of a better qualified 55 year old. It's not "ageism" to say that an 81 year old or a 78 year old might not be able to handle the world's most demanding job.

People on here who are deprived of their mental faculties say that "if Israel wanted to commit a genocide it would" well what is this exactly? How would you describe the near total destruction of Gaza City and the near total destruction of our ability to make food? The murder of 15,000 children?

The US is not focused on it because the US does not care at all, unfortunately.

Unfortunately this doesn’t seem to be in their English edition. I wish the Biden admin were more focused on this, probably US pressure could still have an impact.
