I have wanted such a book to exist since I began writing for kids. Heck, since I was a budding cartoonist myself!
To say this project is a dream come true, is the understatement of my life!!!
Raina drew the "real" scenes, and I did all the kids' art, plus some other art extras. And most importantly, we collaborated deeply on the layouts and script. TONS of back-and-forth (during three drafts).

it was so wild getting to help this project come to life!! working on it from the initial pitch up until now, I can tell it's been a *huge* labor of love!!!
I'm not sure I've ever been more excited for a book???! I'm waving my hands around like Kermit over here! I look forward to reading this (and using it to make comics) with my girls!!
Ha ha, maybe so, I know we'll all love digging into it. They go through phases where they are drawing a lot, and then not so much, so it sometimes feels like rediscovering it for them. Anyways, congrats! Seeing your guys' names together on that book cover really warmed my heart. Dream team!
This already sounds like it would have been my favorite book (well, that and a handful of Peanuts paperbacks) when I was younger (had it existed back then). I will have to look for this one.
