Mr. Logical Arguments here is treating his history class like debate team and is asking kids to divorce history from lived context as if only LoGicAl examination counts. "Today class I want you to discuss whether protests have merit" like it's separate from ACTUAL HISTORY THAT HAPPENED
And then immediately reaching for an ad hominem attack! I s2g these reddit-tier logicians think invoking "I'm just being rational" is a get out of jail free card for being dicks to everyone
*Sigh* this is a very typical type of question one can find in social studies curriculum
And if the teacher doesn't stop to think about*exactly* what the question is asking, it gets used
