The majority is arranged around the question of “should the government or doctors and patients determine abortion care?” Not the details of abortion restrictions, since most people don’t have strong opinions. This is obvious, based on the major wins abortion rights have had the last two years.
As of June 2024 only 35% of people want unrestricted abortion access. Even though this is the obviously correct stance by the standards being set these people should not be listened to news.gallup.com/poll/321143/...
