I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really don't understand these takes making Trump a religious icon. The man couldn't possibly show fewer First Testament values, and has never even attended church.
If you haven't read it, The Undertow by @jeffsharlet.bsky.social spends a significant amount of time looking at Trump and the Evangelicals. I found it really eye opening and educational.
