One of the involved Flandriens in question here, and I would just like to say how wonderful it was to work with Hannah. If your story could use a check-up, needs some tuning or you’re looking to get an interesting insight into *anything* game story related, you know who to reach out to.

I had a great time with a bunch of Flandrien game devs recently doing some 1:1 game story consultations. While I'm recovering from DGF and working out the big What's Next I'm open for all kinds of consultation, from 1 day, to a month or more. Sliding scale fee for indies!

They do though. They _all_ know how to barricade themselves because school shooter drills were what the cops recommended instead of literally any kind of law enforcement that might prevent school shootings.

Having a vestibular migraine and I always find them really tricksy like after an hour lying down I’ll go ‘huh, maybe I imagined it’ and then I try and stand up and fall down immediately because the floor became the ceiling.

Why are so many protestors wearing masks? Yes it's to protect against facial recognition and doxxing, but it's also to keep communities safe from COVID. As an organizer puts it: "we deny the Biden administration’s narrative about COVID — that it’s no longer a big deal."

Every now and then I get a glimpse of what I think is the scariest thing about gen AI apart from the labour rights issue: that quite a lot of people think LLM like Chat-GPT are Google but it chats to you about the info. Rather than something made to chat to you with information-sounding things.

If you’re asking in good faith, here’s the clearest, shortest way I can explain the difference:

Assuming this is asked in good faith: chatGPT is creating mash ups of old texts that “sound like” correct responses, in ways that create & even insert new and false information. Google is a search engine. It pattern matches on existing texts, not altering them when returning results.
