A conversation on our Discord has prompted me to say again: remember, y'all, what really sells books is not the author talking about their work, but *readers* talking about it. Word of mouth drives far more sales than advertising or any other engine. So if you loved a book, tell your friends!

I can't tell you how often I ask people to tell others about our books, but it's just not that easy. It takes a monumental amount of effort to open your mouth or type something on a keyboard. Apparently.

It's like pulling teeth nowadays cause you don't wanna force it but people gotta realize advertising is a hard bag by yourself. Any bit helps even just 'HEY THIS IS GREAT' or else you'll be stuck in that neverending sea.

Did a pretty good Facebook ad last week, had over a hundred people click to the Amazon site and not a single sale. I'm flabbergasted.

I notice that a lot too, people are less willing to follow links off-site anymore. It's created a terrible atmosphere where if they can't get it on the app then they won't bother. Gone are the days of people being more proactive in searching for new content.

Well, I can't very well sell a book off of Facebook. Hmm. Or can I? I suppose I could sell the ebook right from the platform, as a downloadable file. 🤔 Maybe in the marketplace... Oh, Amazon would just love that.
