"Bloom where you're planted" is a stupid inspirational phrase. Anyone who's ever done any gardening knows plants are pissy little divas and won't bloom if the soil even looks at them wrong
Well, except for members of the mint family. But most of them will just walk over to somewhere they like better if planted somewhere really unfortunate.
