I’d also add that nondisabled folks should familiarize themselves with how many disabled people there actually are, as disability is one of the largest marginalized groups at somewhere between 1/5 and 1/4 of the (US) population. Disabled people can’t be treated like some tiny special interest group.
For Disability Pride Month, one thing I'd love abled bodied people to figure out is how to speak to someone with chronic health issues without implying that if they themselves had the disabled person's health conditions, they would end it all. I promise you life goes on- even with health issues.

When you exclude disabled people and disabled people’s concerns from your political actions and equality + inclusion work you’re excluding a way bigger subset of the population than you might think, most of whom are negatively economically and socially situated already. It’s not a great look!
