JD Vance sounds like one of those WCW Saturday night jobbers brought in for Cactus or the Horsemen or Vader to destroy in a minute.

Hibs have been the great enigma of the cinch in recent years. How they can be so consistently mediocre despite spending relatively big and having - on paper at least - a squad that’s top four or five.

Graffiti on the Bells Bridge. I can’t work out if they’re saying STV are also all of these, aren’t any of these, or just being geographically inclusive for folk who might not know that bit of town too well…

I’m still not over the fact that 11 years ago I watched a guy parachute from space to earth, and imagined it would be one of those moments we never forget, and everyone kinda forgot it happened youtu.be/Hz2F_S3Tl0Y?...

Thought better of Rory and Crags on comms than tonight, advocating for the experience and knowledge of Malky Mackay without once acknowledging the whole racist texts thing.

I’m not sure how I never clocked until today that Wings Hauser (the really drunk one in Geteven, and a bunch of other great 80s and 90s schlock) is the dad of Cole Hauser from A Shot At Glory (and some good films).

Oh good. A celebrity author branching out into fantasy. Makes a change from crime I guess. 😳

Three years ago I missed the Euros finals because I was in hospital with bad cellulitis. Yesterday… it must be connected to England’s performances somehow, because here we go again.

Oh no, the GFT is doing a screening of God Help The Girl. Along with a Murdoch Q&A. Hopefully the first question is “Stuart were you even remotely concerned just how noncey this film is?”

This is why the honours system should be retained.
I stay in the same hotel a few times a month, I've got a spreadsheet of rooms I've stayed in previous and always request a different one. Just so I can switch off the stupid Smooth Motion settings on all of the TV's so people can watch things how they were intended to be viewed.

Think the highlight was noticing the Montrose sub forward - an 18 year old - had a perm AND mullet. He’s a moustache away from playing for a German side in the 1980s.

Christ, discovering our new stadium announcer is someone I gave their debut to when I launched a thistle podcast 15 years ago is giving me the absolutely fear.

BF’s continuing existence, while the show is on air and a global property with Disney etc, does baffle me. I know they have their audience, and pals work for them or buy them and good luck to them all, but it’s such a weird brand dilution in 2024.

Ffs I thought Jodie was busier than that. Must have a big tax bill this year. Presumably fitting them in the gap at the end of Power, so every episode someone has to ask why her hand’s glowing.

Good. Because anyone telling you that our broadcasters should ditch their out of date funding models and emulate the sexy 21st Century streaming platforms clearly hasn’t looked at how all those sexy 21st Century streaming platforms are getting on right now.

There’s discourse on the timeline about the damage that streaming services have done to tv/film but speaking as a filmmaker one of the worst things about them is, if you sell your movie to them for what sounds like a good price, that fee is now paid to you quarterly over the entire license period.
