Even if you studiously use Lists and never click the For You tab it doesn't change the fact that the first reply on any post you click into will be some dipshit paid blue check or the fact that your own posts will get buried if they don't conform to the ForYou algorithm 98% of users use

Chrome extensions like blue blocker make the desktop version workable, but lack of the same on the app or mobile browser make it much worse. The blue check prioritization ruined the usage for me.
I caution against deleting your account entirely - it allows someone else to poach to your username and now that Elon owns the site they almost certainly will retain a copy of your messages etc even after you delete - but everyone should uninstall the mobile app immediately bsky.app/profile/sola...
I finally logged in and deleted my account. Kept thinking I would go back sometime to check my bookmarks, decided it wasn't worth the effort. Cancelled NYT this week too.
If you are going to delete your Twitter account it is best to empty it first. Delete your tweets, then your follows, before you deactivate your account.
