full-time RA job at Vassar on a project about jsPsych, online experiments, citizen science & gamification, etc pls circulate! (Josh is the supervisor for this one but in practice the RA will work with all of us on the project — @joshdeleeuw.bsky.social, @mekline.bsky.social, Josh Hartshorne, me)

Next time I am teaching ggplot the final assignment will be to create a pixel-perfect replication of this plot 😈
Today I was introduced to what was described as the Worst Plot In Exoplanet Science, and frankly, it is a work of art

Just released: DataPipe now allows you to select what region (US, EU, Canada, Australia) the OSF data is stored in. I hope this resolves GDPR-compliance for researchers in the EU 🌍
I made this tool that I think is pretty useful if you are running online experiments and using the OSF. It's free. And open source. And you can use other free tools with it to run an online experiment for free. pipe.jspsych.org

Looking forward to having this as a resource for students running online experiments!
My paper on improving data quality for online experiments has just been accepted. Massively improved by the reviewers - collaborative peer review at its constructive best psyarxiv.com/2fhcb

Teaching a neural network oriented computational modeling class this semester, and I'm trying to implement Elman (1990) in Keras. Getting the "simple" XOR network to work in experiment 1 is hard! This pattern is also puzzling to me. How can the error on the unpredictable steps be anything but 0.5?

Running tutorials for undergrads on jsPsych this semester. Just made a course blog with screencasts that will be updated weekly this semester. Sharing in case it's useful for others. www.crumplab.com/psyc2001/blo... #cogsci #PsychSciSki #cognition #jspsych #QuartoPub
