Could the next Production Model used by Brands be a combination of the Content Creation we see on social, combined with the Sponsorship Model of yesteryear? 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐔𝐧𝐛𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫? 🤔🤔 Food for thought #advertising #filmproduction #production #commercials #content

Marty did a 90 sec spot with Chanel + Timothée Chalamet', and it's a #radiation of brilliance. Despite it's complexity, at no point does it feel inaccessible. Such a supertightly- packed package of novel stimuli. It might be my new favorite commercial. #BleuDeCHANEL #CHANELFragrance #Rockit

There have been a lot of recent changes, in the creative + commercial economy, and little discussion about what they mean. This is Part I of a three-part series I wrote to detail that shift. #advertising #media #production #filmproduction #commercials #economy #unemployment

I didn’t think I would like Air. But I enjoyed it willingness to go the understated + occasionally-odd route. I do think there was a disconnect in how marketing presented the movie. Would be really curious to see a mockup campaign that emphasized its low-key nature instead.

Yorgos Lanthimos reaches peak-weird-brilliance in Poor Things. What a lovely fucking tale. Many brilliant things, but the use of dramatic in-camera zooms timed to faux-electronic, was one of my favorites.

In brain disorders, elasticity becomes a fault when it exceeds the point of utility. Similarly, in organizations, excessive decentralized decision-making leads to futility.  Takeaway: achieving things requires a minimum rigor, otherwise the sprite spins in circles. #plasticityparadox

O AND ANOTHER THING sometimes people are like "you can't have first person past tense when the narrator dies at the end how are they telling you the story" and like, the hell? Who cares? It's all made up, I made it all up just now. How does an omni narrator know what everyone thinks?

One of the most sublime experiences in the whole fabric of being is hearing a new piece of music and thinking “ohhhh, you are coming with me for the rest of my life.” And it’s such a new experience - being able to build our ever present soundtrack that we carry with us, through decades. A gift.

I knew Hemingway had killed himself, knew he had mental illness and substance abuse problems. What I didn't know was he kept saying the FBI were bugging/following him, no one believed him, the paranoia mounted, he died, and AFTER he died the J Edgar Hoover files revealed Heningway had been right.
