how i'm gliding when i see someone mention the absolutely perfect and delightfully charming exploration indie game A Short Hike available on every relevant platform for only a few dollars:
You mean the delightful video game A Short Hike, which has a delightful animation style and is a memorable blast?
The absolutely worth the money adventure A Short Hike?
i played it, 'beat it' put it down, and then picked it up a year later and was shocked by how much i never experienced. i think i'll play it every year or so. it's so cute!
I might have to grab this one for my kids, they like stuff like Mario platformers but they get panicked around fights so laid back games like this help keep them chill while playing.
Shorter games are perfect for kids with short attention spans anyway.
They also love Untitled Goose Game and Spirit of the North. And Minecraft on peaceful mode, though Minecraft completely baffles my old millennial ass
you run around and talk to your friends and help them out and you climb a mountain and everything is extremely low stress and good vibes. really beautiful little game
it's so chill and the vibe is great
the lack of minimap or map of any type in combination with the occasionally changing view direction drives me up a wall
the camera is sometimes very frustrating, yeah. the lack of a map i don't terribly mind since it's just about walking around and the island is small enough but the camera is my only knock
