i genuinely don’t know enough to speak on it other than a few powerusers who ran one of the most popular blocklist on here both got some allegations outabout them and they’ve since deleted their accounts and the blocklist as far as i’m aware went away with them

Oh it wasn't a blocklist it was an entire labeler that got shut down because of the allegations

i also have no idea what a labeler is i will be totally honest

It's mostly a community moderation thing for tagging posts. There's only 10 of them supported on bsky right now and this was probably the most well known one.

Close. She deactivated her account, so her account, if it becomes active again, is her and not some random user. And the labeler Aegis (not a blocklist) has been sunsetted, so it is still applying all labels to accounts previously reported/verified but will not label any additional accounts.

fwiw i think we're up to about 6 million accounts now, about 1/4 of which actually log in and use the place, there's huge swaths of people on here that we just don't ever see because they're off in their own little clusters talking about botany or astronomy or how to cure ham instead of infighting
