Our cat assigned himself an Emotional Support Cat to our previous dog during fireworks season. (I do not know if it helped, but he tried and that's important.)
Earl is now supporting our current dog, Stewie. It's helping, but only because Stewie is having trouble deciding if he's more alarmed by fireworks, or by Large House Tiger.
(They get along fine, but Stewie still finds Earl a bit intimidating.)
