Here, too. I just gave the dog the last half of a Xanax he's allowed. I'm praying it works because he's terrified, and I don't need any more bruises from 60 lbs of dog climbing into my lap and driving his elbows into me.

I am so sorry you’re having to deal with that.

And a tolerable Thundershirt night to you

Our cat assigned himself an Emotional Support Cat to our previous dog during fireworks season. (I do not know if it helped, but he tried and that's important.)

Earl is now supporting our current dog, Stewie. It's helping, but only because Stewie is having trouble deciding if he's more alarmed by fireworks, or by Large House Tiger. (They get along fine, but Stewie still finds Earl a bit intimidating.)

We have thunderstorms predicted tonight, so one way or another, my dog is going to be Unhappy. Possibly both ways! We'll find out!

Can you hide under the floor under the bed? This dog will find out!

Our house in Beaverton has a forest for a back yard.

I have the only dog I know who tries to intimidate the neighbor's fireworks. Big (fenced) rural yard, neighbors half a mile away, and one brave dog who keeps charging TOWARD them, furious and refusing to come inside. All previous pets have tried to crawl under the furniture, etc. But not this guy.

Omg hugs and calmness to all the housepets enduring the night and to their humans too.

They already started up last night here, for some reason. The kitten slept under my chin while clinging to one arm.

I love fireworks and hate that they should all be cancelled without an equivalent replacement. But they should be.
