I plopped all this paper packaging in the occasional chair by the kitchen, and Toni has claimed it as her little trash domain. I can't bring myself to disassemble her rubbish hut. We hear her crinkling her way up there every night 😂 🐱🇳🇿

Others Were Emeralds is a gorgeous bildungsroman, Private Equity taught me all sorts of weird things about hedge funds and the ultra rich, Say Nothing was enthralling and so sad. The Wren, The Wren - gorgeous & lyrical.

The lacing on this could be tidier BUT I am very pleased with this lovely intrepid dino. She arrived to her new home today where she's got lots of other dino friends. 🧵🇳🇿

#kai #soupreview Culley's soup packs in tangy tomato and smoky pumpkin. I don't like the pumpkin at all. It smells super smoky but doesn't taste like smoke OR pumpkin, somehow. The tomato is great though! As far as powder soups go this is probably the best tomato one I've tried.

Attention Aotearoa! I'm appointing myself head of PR for this great new album my friend's band has put out a few days ago. She (Chelsea) is the most talented singer I have ever known. Her background is jazz but this album is rap and rock and everything on top of that. An absolute feast. Go listen!

I have a real soft spot for steamed pudding and I worked out, last Christmas, that I could make them in the electric pressure cooker/ instant pot. Anyway here's the one we made last night and my recipe if you want a go yourself! #kai

If anyone in Hawke’s Bay, especially Hastings, would be ok to look after Dusty if I need to go to hospital or if I get sick, I’d be quite keen for you to get in touch. It’s not a matter of if but when. While not regular, it could be a few times a year. It would also need to be at very short notice.

Also I forgot to update on this. Get a load of this luscious double gauze (which Lincraft is calling double cheesecloth). Going to cut out my first pair of pants from prob the blue on the left tomorrow if I can 🧵🇳🇿 If that Lincraft sale is still on, they have this delicious stuff at $10/m, 140cm wide

Few craft related things, this is the Tamarama set from Swim style (there's a lovely shirt too that I might make in due course). Also, Lincraft has all apparel fabric at 50% off so I've just bought an actual ton of double gauze for $10/m which I'll also - slowly - be turning into fibro clothes. 🧵🇳🇿

Trying to improve on my darning. It's quite tricky. Might shift to more of a visible mending situation. Also this jumper will soon be more hole than jumper, I feel 🧵🇳🇿
