Does it bear edible fruit that will be harvested? If not, is the idea to spread rotting fruit around an otherwise (sadly but truly) non-wildlife-rich local ecology, to encourage growth of vermin feeding on it? Will that make the sick society better? Is there a holistic ecosystem-recovery plan?
In my neighborhood back in Kentucky I have unattended plum trees and berry bushes. People eat the fruit when it's ripe and a guy down the block uses the fallen fruit to make plum wine.
In a poor neighborhood people will find a use for fruit and nuts. Trust.
Yeah, why tf is that a law? Was there some big epidemic of fruiting trees causing harm? Or is this cuz someone experiencing homelessness ate an apple off one of the trees?
