I don't give her a lot of credit but there's a real kernel of truth to what AOC is saying about the "replace Biden" movement. I think he should probably step down and endorse Kamala, but the Democrats manufactured a political crisis, and people are obviously taking advantage (but not in a cool way)

NEWS: Teamsters VP-at-Large, John Palmer, who has been extremely critical of current President O’Brien’s overtures towards the GOP, has just announced he’s forming an opposition slate and running for president in the 2026 Teamsters leadership election. “We are better than this.”

That last bullet point is interesting because there was a backroom deal between SEIU and the Teamsters in the city of Richmond that let the Teamsters represent labor and trades, when up until that point labor and trades organized with SEIU, which infuriated me.

It's never anybody's fault they get fooled. He knew people trusted him and he abused it. As terrible as that is (and I totally understand the response), for the fans, we're just living our lives. Even if you dissected every story he wrote for clues, we only know because of what's coming out now.

So dope Neil Gaiman was harassing everyone with a heartbeat (to the point he had a rule named after him at a workshop) but got away with it for ages because he'd post some shit like "Reminder: you need to be kind to yourself and have a water. It's feminism."

I was actually surprised at how much l liked PREDATORS. Adrien Brody as a believable mercenary? What a time to be alive.

i actually think PREDATORS is the third-best movie in the series, behind PREDATOR and PREY

i have no idea if i have that many followers in Richmond Virginia (pretty sure I don't) but I think it's pretty inarguable the easiest place to get good quality fish and not break the bank is Lotte Market.

My only comment on the Hawk Tuah girl besides "Google Project 2025" is that it could have very easily been the Hawk Tooey girl. Imagine.

kind of a belabored comparison, but if MCU fans operated a little more like most wrestling fans, it'd be more tolerable. Wrestling fans know it's "art", but the best of them seem to understand if everything was wrassling, that would suck. But that's not the direction the MCU points people in.

Instead, it's supposed to dominate in a way you should find suspect. They're not only the most fun movies, they're the best movies ever, but also, if you take them too seriously, you're the problem, because they're also comedies.

PS: pissing off a guy who has more than paid his dues over a form being filled out counts as both A) and B).

Maybe he should take ten minutes to sit down and fill out a form but a) Bluesky is not a PVP server I play on, so I'm blocking anybody who argues with me and b) Martin could throw his own convention at this point, so all this over filling out a form Dave McCarthy will probably lose is stupid.

For the way people talk about George RR Martin, you'd think he was Neil Gaiman or something, but they didn't even talk about Gaiman like he was George RR Martin.
