I still think if he were moderately clever he could be far more successful as a wannabe fascist. By contrast, DeSantis is far more involved in the details of incipient fascism. His problem is he has no public persona worth mentioning.

But will it actually hurt him in court? I'm definitely no expert, but it seems like a regular person doing those things would have landed in jail or under a big fine a long time ago?
