The conservative majority of the Supreme Court doesn’t think bribery is much of a crime, but someone sleeping in their car is

I appreciate Justice Sotomayor's humanity and compassion, as ever

Well, you see, bribery is something that rich people do, and sleeping outside is something poor people do

Maybe if they offer the car to the arresting officer as a gratuity they could make it all go away.

It’s called asset forfeiture and it only makes it worse

Because the conservative justices take bribes and don’t have to sleep in their cars.

I haven't been following the arguments, I'm curious whether at any point the situation of a worker (presumably with a home) needing to pull over and sleep for fatigue/safety reasons is also committing a crime? If anyone happens to be familiar with the case at that level of detail.
