I think the biggest misunderstanding of climate change comes down to how little most people know about complex systems and how shit isn't going to be distributed evenly. It's not just the temperature.

Yep. Or how it impacts everything. Most people think of it like, "Oh, so instead of being 85, it'll be 90 for a few more days in the summer? Who cares?" when that's a profound misunderstanding and oversimplification.
