Mine do! And they did not get it from me, I thought maybe it was their own quirk. They also say “I’m going to search it up”.

No, but my kids often mix up/combine other phrases like that! “Search” and “look up”

My 10 yr old doesn't say that but she does say things like "check The Google" like she's 70 🤣

Yes! I find it so odd but apparently they all say it!

love this! a) it's adorable (put that kid in a newsies outfit as they say it) and b) it makes google not the standard!

Obviously your kids need to watch more late-2000s tv with you, so they know the appropriate phrase it “Bing it.”

Mine all say that and one is no longer even a kid.

It’s fully widespread, Kathryn. It’s the only term they (ages 7-18) use for that concept.

My 11-year-old said "search up on google" today and I had to re-find this post and tell you.

Yes!! My older two say “search up” ALL THE TIME and it drives me crazy.

Oh my gosh, this post and the comments are blowing my mind! Our daughter says this too, and she has a few grammatical quirks that I attribute to her attending a Spanish immersion school, so I assumed the same about this one. I had no idea it was this widespread! I love this!

My kids (7 & 9) say this too and I have no idea where they got it from. (School probably)

It's pretty widespread as an alternative to "google" as a verb.
