You've got to love how the Republican Party idea of an "electable" candidate is one who believes that states can secede. Evidently, she never made it past 1860 in US History.

Secessionists aren't going to vote for her, although she's likely right that she needs their support to win the nomination. Still...

The real question after the McCarthy ouster is this: Are there 8 Republicans that still believe in anything? If so, they will demand that the new Speaker put a Ukraine supplemental and a CR on the floor. If not, that tells us everything about the GOP.

I get that it's easy to pick the Braves. They had the best record this year. But their starting pitching has become questionable. Meanwhile, the @ladodgers.bsky.social look at their best. The bullpen has been great since June. You could knock the starting rotation, but let's be clear 1/X

Bobby Miller (age 24) is 4 years older than Kershaw when he made his MLB debut. I said at the beginning of the year that if he was going to prove to be anything like his hype, he would have to make a big contribution to the @ladodgers.bsky.social this year. He has. Bobby Miller's for real.

Too many school districts have drawn lines that REQUIRE kids to be bussed or driven. I walked 3.5 blocks to elementary school, without having to cross a major street. My nieces grew up 5 blocks from the closest elementary school, but were zoned for a school 1.6 miles away across 2 major streets.

This is not my experience at all. My kids elementary school was three miles from home. School buses take hours to get kids home, cutting into valuable time for homework and relaxing. Parents don’t drive their kids to school because they choose to, they do it because it’s the only reasonable option.
