Let me say this clearly as someone who has done a single day N to S. Rim in a day in AUGUST. If you do not listen to your body, adjust plans, and most importantly - TRAIN - before you hike, you WILL be helicoptered out one way or another.

I'm not sure how much clearer the National Park Service can make this, but seriously: STOP TRYING TO HIKE THE GRAND CANYON WHEN IT'S A HUNDRED AND TWENTY DEGREES OUTSIDE.

The feeling of waking up to go to work after a con contains two things. 1. The weight of knowing many of your friends are scattered around the world again 2. The want to sleep in four more hours because your body is TOAST
